This company was looking for an identity that would bring their consumers home. They wanted their branding to have homemade, story book-like characteristics that helped remind consumers that this all-natural cocoa chocolate is just as natural as their childhood memories. A small mom and pop shop down the street selling a family-favorite candy bar is exactly what this brand had in mind. Inspiration came from multiple illustrations from children books.
All components except fonts, nutrition facts, and barcode were hand-drawn.
Mister Martin’s Chocolate decided on multiple shades of green, a muted red, along with beige and brown. The fonts Palomino Sans and Dolce were used and tweaked slightly to be turned into their logo. These warm toned colors and simple typography helps bring home that childlike, story tale feel while also completing a posh and sophisticated look to their brand identity.
